Bear Valley Cross Country and Adventure Company run 36 miles of varied cross country gliding and skating trails in the winter (and tubing and snowshoeing!). In the summer, they are the place to go for bike, kayak and canoe rentals and are also run the local Disk Golf course.

This custom built home with three bedrooms, a loft and two bathrooms is located in the quiet neighborhood of Sky High Ranch (five miles west of Bear Valley). This well thought out home has an open floor plan with vaulted ceilings, a massive stone fireplace, wood interiors and flooring throughout. The wall of windows in the living area allow for lots of natural light all year round. There is a six person hot tub on the wrap around deck and a sauna in the basement. The house sits high on its lot making it very private. It is the perfect home for one or two families. Owner has taken great care with amenities and style, including a well appointed kitchen with a gas range. This home is accessible year round but access is limited in winter to 4WD/AWD vehicles with clearance. Sky High Ranch is a quiet community located five miles west of Bear Valley village. It has 260 lots with houses on approximately half of the lots. It has between six to eight full time residents. Common areas include a pond with Washoe Indian grinding holes. The development butts up to National Forest land so there are really nice places to explore off the beaten path. If you like the idea of peace and quiet in the woods but still easy to get to place, Sky High Ranch is it. **Note: cell phone reception is very limited in this neighborhood. Bedrooms: King in upstairs master suite, bunk bed in loft outside of master suite, queen bed in one bedroom off the kitchen and a double bed in the other bedroom off the kitchen.
