FUN-IN-THE-SUN SUMMER ACTIVITIES GUIDE:

Hiking // Bear Valley is surrounded by National Forest and Wilderness land and offers trails to peaks, creeks and everything in between. Whether looking for a strenuous day hike or a family-friendly walk, opportunities to get out of the house and into nature abound!  We have loaner hiking books and maps.
Mountain Biking // Single track trails snake around the greater Bear Valley area offering out-and-back as well as loop rides. The knowledgeable staff at Bear Valley Adventure Company can provide insider tips, trail information and bike rentals.
Road Biking // Alpine County is home to the infamous Death Ride, Tour of the California Alps annual cycling event that traverses 129 miles, 15000 feet and 5 mountain passes. It is no wonder, then, that our mountain roadways are touted as favorite (and oh-so-challenging) terrain by many road cyclists. Get ready to climb and take in the views!
Rock Climbing // Nearby climbing and bouldering present granite and basalt playgrounds for you and yours. Mountain Adventures Seminars provides instruction for climbers looking to further their skill set, as well as families and novices.
Kayaking + Stand-Up Paddleboarding // Bear Valley Adventure Company Our area is dotted with lakes both on- and off-the-beaten path. Whatever your favorite style of floating is, Lake Alpine, Utica and Union Lakes and Bear Lake offer stunning backdrops, refreshing waters and unlimited fun. Kayak and SUP rentals available at Bear Valley Adventure Company. Kayak, canoe and boat rentals available at Lake Alpine.

Disc Golf Course// We have our own 18 hole disc golf course.  We keep loaner discs on hand.
Swimming + Fishing // Flanked by two rivers and within close proximity to several alpine lakes, swimming under the bluest of Sierra skies is in your future. Anglers grab your rod and cast the day away.
